Great Hardware but no battery indicator

The device is great, will be buying a few more soon.
There should be a battery indicator or a button that allows me to check my Chipolo battery because I dont know how long it will last. And judging by the huge number of false positives I feel battery might be low.
Previously I couldnt find the temperature settings, but found it in the iOS settings app. Glad its there.
Also it would be great if we can somehow use the app/device without needing the app open at all times, but I think thats an iOS restriction.
